PAP MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, Senior Minister of State Indranee Rajah, told state media Straits Times that Tanjong Pagar GRC residents will forever commemorate Lee Kuan Yew. Holding a ceremony to mark the second anniversary of Lee Kuan Yew’s death today (Mar 23), Minister Indranee Rajah and other PAP MPs planted 13 different species of shrubs in two areas of the constituency:
“The ceremony is a happy observance that was not to remember death and passing but what his life stood for. The GRC will continue to commemorate the anniversary of Mr Lee’s passing every year with similar ceremonies.”
Minister Indranee Rajah then announced that an “idea-sharing” competition will be held annually, to get young people “think about the future of Singapore like Lee Kuan Yew did”.
Attending the ceremony were over 100 PAP-affiliated Peoples’ Association grassroots members, and PAP MPs of Tanjong Pagar GRC except Minister of State Chan Chun Sing who is accompanying Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Vietnam for an official visit. State media Straits Times posted a letter Minister Chan Chun Sing wrote for the Lee Kuan Yew commemoration ceremony:
“Planting a tree is a reminder to all of us of what it takes to build our country, one tree at a time, one step at a time, but always doing it together. Mr Lee used to tell us three things – take care of the environment, take care of our families, and to be sure we take care of our residents. Today’s event is a celebration of the life of Mr Lee. Whilst we plant the trees today, remember that we are all doing our part to build a better environment for our families, our residents and all Singaporeans. Let us remember Mr Lee, and continue to build a brighter future on his legacy.”
The fascist PAP Minister who was a former army general will likely be the new Prime Minister after dictator PM Lee Hsien Loong steps down due to old age.
