Calling it a “double happiness”, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan claimed that the North-South Line (NSL) saw 200 days of train disruption-free service and for the Circle Line (CCL) at 150 days.
It is unknown how the Transport Minister arrived to his figures because various news reports in the past 200 days have shown as many as 4 train breakdown on the NSL alone.
Earlier this year on February 11th, there was a train breakdown on the NSL lasting 30 minutes. Two days later on February 13th, there was another breakdown on the NSL too. The most recent train disruption on the NSL was just last week on April 3rd.

Fake news aside, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan is also cherry-picking statistics as propaganda material to impress the public. There was no mention on the East-West Line (EWL) and Bukit Panjang LRT lines where most train disruptions were reported on.
