3 Malaysians and a Singaporean were arrested today (August 13) and are facing the death penalty for trafficking 3.6kg of heroin, with a street value of S$254,000. Earlier this morning at 5.45am, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) followed the Singaporean who is on a watchlist of suspected drug traffickers at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.

A Malaysia-registered white lorry then arrived at the scene and traded 4 plastic bags for 1 plastic bag with the Singaporean and they parted ways. The CNB officers then continued to follow the Singaporean to a coffee shop and arrested him. Found on the Singaporean are the 4 plastic bags with eight bundles of heroin hidden in eight cabbages.
