Workers’ Party chief MP for Aljunied GRC Low Thia Kiang today (August 16) responds to Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean’s insult against him:
“I think as a Deputy Prime Minister, with due respect, if he wanted to comment in that way, we should let Singaporeans decide if this is the kind of standard of the PAP in politics. Is this the kind of politics we want in the future? What do we want the future of Singapore to be? We want to be more civilised in our political engagement, we are not a third world country.”
DPM Teo has earlier insulted the Opposition MP for “shedding crocodile tears” when the latter said he was disappointed that the Transport Minister has suddenly resigned.
