A rich Pakistani-Arab Singaporean is openly calling himself a “Malay” and announced to the media that he is running for Presidency. However, the racist Presidential Election created by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong specified that only the Malay race can contest.
Farid Khan Kaim Khan, an Indian-Pakistani Muslim, said that he qualifies as a Malay because he speaks it as a second language and he grew up in the Malay suburb of Geylang Serai:
“Malays in the community hailed from different groups, such as the Javanese and Boyanese… I was born in the Malay village in Geylang Serai, the heart of the Malay community. And I adopted the Malay language, and when I studied in school, my second language was Malay… So, I’m very confident that I can be qualified as a Malay.”
The other Presidential hopeful is Salleh Marican, who recently made headlines for asking a Malay reporter how to speak in Malay.

The lucrative S$1.54 million-a-year Singapore President post has attracted many due to its ease of work. The Singapore President simply needs to be a yes-man of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and appoints major government posts like the Attorney General and High Court Judge as instructed.
The Singapore President has no power to interfere in national policies and he is not privy to confidential information like government programs and assets. Puppet President Tony Tan and his predecessors never once know of the actual amount of national reserves. The Singapore Presidents in history has only been a rubber stamp, and a muted duck like S R Nathan.
PM Lee Hsien Loong has intended PAP MP Halimah Yacob to stand for Presidency, the PAP MP did not decline when asked if she is contesting.
