Due to an ongoing outrage against President-select Halimah Yacob denouncing her Indian heritage, she had to visit Little India and be made to watch Indian cultural dances to appease the Singaporean Indian community.
The NRIC of Halimah Yacob is written as Indian, but she insisted that she is Malay and refused to acknowledge her Indian roots. The Lee Hsien Loong’s newest pet became “certified as a Malay” after the dictator’s 16-member committee re-wrote the definition of a Malay race and claimed all Muslims can be Malay. A Pakistani Muslim was also certified as a Malay in the presidential election before he was disqualified on business credential requiring him to have S$500 million in shareholders’ equity.
Halimah Yacob has been a controversial figure since the day she resigned from her PAP MP seat. Most Singaporeans believe she is just another puppet President like SR Nathan and Tony Tan drawing S$1.54 million-a-year doing nothing, and even worse, as she is unable to communicate in eloquent English befitting that of a head of state. Aside from her controversial Indian genes, most Singaporeans are also angry at the fact that she won the election by disqualifying her two other opponent contestants. Singaporeans are also frustrated at dictator Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong writing laws and even the Constitution to fit his political agenda.
Lee Hsien Loong requires a puppet president to have free access to the national reserves and CPF retirement funds, where he sits as the Chairman of GIC while his wife is CEO of Temasek Holdings.
