A 64-year-old elderly Singaporean suffered a heart attack while driving for Uber last Thursday (Sep 28). According to his younger brother, Wang Yongqing was taking on two jobs – a driver for foreign workers during the day and an Uber driver during the night. The deceased elderly Singaporean who was unable to retire worked from 7am to 5pm for his full time day job, and drove Uber in the evening past 1am everyday for the past 6 months.
The deceased’s brother who lived together with him said that he found that his brother looked increasingly fatigued in the past few weeks. Wang Yongqing crashed his Uber rental taxi last Thursday at the Changi Airport Terminal 2 exit heading towards East Coast Parkway.
Singapore’s CPF retirement scheme is a failed national retirement system that offers the lowest interest rates among all retirement funds in the world at 2.5%. The low rate of return and the yearly-increasing Minimum Retirement Sum at S$166,000 kept Singaporean elderly at poverty, resulting in many old people having to work long hours. Retirement age was also extended by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to 65 years old from 55.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong directly manages the CPF funds of all Singaporeans by himself, through legalised corrupted methods. The dictator PM controls puppet president Halimah Yacob whom he helped “elected” by disqualifying her two other contestant candidates, and appoints himself Chairman position at GIC, his wife’s CEO position at Temasek Holdings, and controls the Monetary Authority of Singapore under his Prime Minister’s Office.
