In the latest propaganda effort to indoctrinate the young, the Ministry of Education (MOE) yesterday (Nov 27) announced that children who attend MOE kindergartens will get priority in the primary school placings:
“Children attending Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergartens located within primary school compounds will get higher priority in entering these schools.”
All PCF kindergartens are MOE-approved, while private kindergartens may not be approved by the government.
PAP-affiliated kindergartens, also known as PAP Community Foundation (PCF) kindergartens, are notorious for teaching young children propaganda material with education material like “What’s inside the Red Box?”, a book immortalising deceased dictator Lee Kuan Yew as a hero for Singapore and featuring fake fabrications to glorify the ruling party. These indoctrination material are endorsed by the MOE and used in MOE kindergartens too.
Former president S R Nathan was also glorified in the children’s textbook, praising the useless puppet president as a “hero” of Singapore. In Aug 2016, when S R Nathan died, kindergarten school children aged 4 and 5 were forced to pay respect and attend his funeral.
The same also happened during Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral:
Education Minister Ng Chee Meng told state media reporters that parents do not have to worry about the shortage of supply in school places despite having more slots reserved for the PCF kindergartens:
“The supply remains the same, the overall demand in a specific location will be roughly the same. it is now a matter of managing the stages of demand and supply.”
