On the political debate featuring candidates from both the ruling party PAP and Opposition, Channel News Asia forum host Steve Chia sided with PAP Lawrence Wong to openly attack SDP Dr Chee Soon Juan by cutting him off and refusing the latter to explain his position. In the discussion, PAP Lawrence Wong defamed Dr Chee for being unapologetic over an incident that happened 19 years ago in 1996.
