On the last day of campaigning today (Sep 9), former Law Minister and current PAP candidate for Nee Soon GRC, K Shanmugam, fired another political attack against the Opposition saying that he is unable to find a “respectful word” to describe the Oppositions’ proposals.
“I don’t know what words to express my shock. I can’t find a respectful word to describe these proposals.”
When queried by the media if the quality of the opposition candidates have improved with the increased number of opposition candidates with high education qualifications, K Shanmugam diverted the question by giving a non-response: “The opposition has to be honest in communicating their proposals.”
K Shanmugam ended his press conference by challenging the Opposition parties to give specifics on the funding of their policies proposals and specifically aiming at the Workers’ Party calling them a “flip-flop” when it comes to the government policy on influx of foreigners.
