Singapore’s Ministry of Health is still scratching their heads how a Singaporean who has never been to China or came into contact with any infected person gets the Wuhan virus in Singapore:

“The 41-year-old patient with no apparent links to past cases tested positive for the virus late on Wednesday night.”

The other new case of a 27-year-old Singaporean was also infected locally, when he attended the Grand Hyatt Hotel conference that also infected 2 South Koreans and 1 Malaysian.

There are now a total of 30 confirmed cases, where 11 are Singaporeans. Two victims are dying, with one in the intensive care unit and the other requiring oxygen support assistance.

The Ministry of Health however remained in staunch denial mode, saying that the government has got everything under control:

“All of these cases have been isolated and ring-fenced.”

5 close contacts of the infected remain uncontactable and the government is unable to find their whereabouts.

The Singapore government is still insistent on Singaporeans not to wear mask in public, because of shortage (which they deny).
