According to Singapore Management University (SMU), its survey unit found that Singapore commuters are happier with public transport in 2015 than a year ago. Conducted by the Institute of Service Excellence at the SMU (ISES), the Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) survey found that 3.7% more commuters are satisfied with the train system, scoring a point of 62.0.
The survey was however conducted between April and June, before the July 7 major disruption that paralysed the North-South and East-West train lines, which SMU admitted may impacted the findings otherwise.
ISES also found that more people are satisfied with Public Education (+2.8%) but unhappier with Private Education (-2.5%).
