PAP MP Alex Yam took to Parliament today complaining about Singaporeans criticising the government. The PAP MP described Singaporeans as hard to please and started his speech quoting a 1978 song “Too much, Too little, Too late”:
“These words (from the 1978 song) – too much, too little, too late – have been a theme throughout discussions on Singapore’s response to Covid-19. For example, some criticise the amounts given to big companies, saying its too much, while too little is given for others, too late, or if too much or too little of the reserves are being spent.”
MP Alex Yam, from Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, is angry at Singaporeans who blame the PAP government for the high infection rate today and “conducting too many tests”:
“Others have been discussing the high infections among migrant workers, either that there have been too many tests done, or too little being done to help workers in the past.”
The PAP MP told Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat to “reassure” Singaporeans that the government has not spent too much money in the crisis.
