Speaking to European leaders through video conference, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong promised the European Commission that he will ensure the vaccines, once available for manufacturing in Singapore, will not be given to Singaporeans first:

“Singapore will work with various parties to develop vaccines and distribute them fairly and quickly to people worldwide… It is important to have vaccine multilateralism in the fight against Covid-19.”

In its propaganda report, state media Straits Times gave a false impression that a vaccine is available, when it is not. There is no vaccine or cure to the COVID-19 coronavirus currently, although there has been speculations about an invention in a year’s time.

Singapore is currently the second biggest coronavirus country in South East Asia, reporting hundreds of new cases each day. Singapore has the highest number of infection rate in the world, with over 43,000 confirmed cases.
