A 31-year-old Indian national has been sentenced to 9 months jail in Singapore for molesting a SilkAir stewardess on a plane enroute from India to Singapore. Kizhakkumkkara Thomas Ajeesh was intoxicated after drinking four glasses of whiskey since the start of the flight and was refused more alcohol upon the supervising cabin crew’s instruction.
The Indian national then pestered the crew for alcohol and even went to the back gallery asking for more drink. When a 26-year-old air stewardess refused to serve him, he brushed his hand on her breasts in the presence of a passenger witness and another air stewardess.
The molester admitted guilty and pleaded for clemency saying his mother is ill in the hospital and nobody is taking care of his pregnant wife. He was sentenced to 9 months jail with no fine.
