In his lengthy speech to fix the upcoming Presidential Election, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong insulted the people of Australia, UK and US, and also charged that Singaporean voters are racist.

Quoting an unreliable survey published from state-controlled media ChannelNewsAsia, PM Lee Hsien Loong said the survey result is proof that Singaporean voters are racist when voting:

“You have seen the surveys. They show that at least a significant minority of Singaporeans consider race as a factor when they vote, and will not vote for somebody of a different race to be President. Not everybody, but not a small minority either. And that puts the minority candidates at a disadvantage in an election.”

The dictator Prime Minister is also now considering to reduce the powers of the new President, and pass the actual responsibility to a council of unelected representatives appointed by himself.

PM Lee Hsien Loong also insulted the Australian, UK and US political system, laughing at Australia’s Future Fund that went empty, calling UK system “impotent” and the US system for “gridlock”:

“After 9/11, when jihadist terrorism prompted the Government to push for similar measures, the judicial response has become more critical and challenging. When the UK Government tries to deport convicted foreign terrorists, the cases are endlessly litigated, and the judges make their interpretation of the facts and what the Minister is entitled to do, and the Government finds itself impotent to act.

That is one extreme. The other extreme is the US which lays great store on checks and balances. The US has elevated the separation for powers almost into a sacred doctrine. The Congress, the Executive, and the Supreme Court. Three centres of power, constantly checking and balancing each other. The Congress itself is divided between the House and Senate, separately elected, and often with different parties controlling each one. The tension is always there, and sometimes results in gridlock. Some people would say, usually results in gridlock.”

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong then announced that the next election will only be reserved for the Malay, which will likely ended up in a walkover with the winner being his appointed candidate.

The move is also seen as an insult to Malay Singaporeans, which many are questioning why is a particular race given special provision instead of following a meritocratic system. However, the proposal was initiated by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who is out to prevent former candidate Dr Tan Cheng Bock from contesting.

Ruling party-endorsed candidates are chosen by the Prime Minister and the S$2 million a year-President position is a puppet figurehead who obeys the government. Former President SR Nathan and current President Tony Tan often earn insults and name-callings from the public because of their unquestioning compliance to the government.
