Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean misrepresented Singaporeans claiming that the government will proceed to preserve the house based on “public interests”. According to the underling of dictator PM Lee, Minister Teo Chee Hean insisted that the government is being “fair, objective and calm” on their decision to preserve the house:

“The Government still has to carry out its responsibilities for issues that are of public interest fairly, objectively and calmly.”

Although Lee Kuan Yew’s will stated to demolish the house, the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee said that he will defy the will and proceed to “prepare options” on the house:

“We would prepare drawer plans of various options and their implications so that a future Government could make an informed decision when the time came to decide on the matter. Singapore’s public institutions make decisions and act in the public interest of Singaporeans.”

DPM Teo also spoke in-line with dictator PM Lee Hsien Loong, confirming that the government will not sue the Lee siblings because they are family members of the PM:

“With regard to Dr Lee Wei Ling and Mr Lee Hsien Yang’s allegations against the Ministerial Committee, public agencies and public officers, the Government has already responded comprehensively to all of them in Parliament.”

Opposition leader Low Thia Kiang has earlier pointed out the blatant corruption saying that if it were non-family members criticising Lee Hsien Loong, they would be sued until “pants drop”.
