The Singapore Government will be sending to Indonesia Sumatra a C-130 plane for cloud seeding and another two more to transport Singapore’s firefighter team, and a Chinook helicopter with firefighting capabilities. The Indonesian authorities have accepted Singapore’s offer according to Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen.

24-hour PSI reading has since declined to 73-85 from its peak of 119-133 yesterday (Sep 11) due to a change in wind direction. Haze from forest burning is a yearly affair for Singapore because Indonesian farmers find forest burning an inexpensive and more efficient method to clear the trees for their seasonal plantation.
