The dishonest Singapore Ministry of Health has been caught skewing statistics again, this time, by labelling confirmed cases who were infected locally as “imported”.
Singapore announced 12 new cases yesterday, bringing the total to a record 178. The Ministry of Health claimed that 8 cases are imported, but 3 of them did not contract the virus overseas.
In case 178, a Filipino last arrived in Singapore from Philippines on March 2 and Feb 17 respectively. He was only tested positive on March 11, after spending 9 days in Singapore. He was wrongfully labelled an “imported case”, despite having none of his contacts at Philippines contracting the virus. He also exhibited symptoms only when he is in Singapore, and not in Philippines.
In case 171, a 27-year-old Singaporean returned in Singapore on March 6, after travelling to France and Spain. He also exhibited symptoms only in Singapore, but he is labelled an “imported case” by the government. None of his contacts overseas was infected.
In case 177, a 26-year-old Singaporean returned in Singapore on March 7, after travelling to US, UK and France. He also exhibited symptoms only in Singapore, but he is labelled an “imported case” by the government. None of his contacts overseas was infected.
The Ministry of Health only disclosed two cases to be locally infected. The government is unable to find the source of their infection.
