Unsure whether vehicle repair is considered essential service or not, Trade Minister Chan Chun Sing made a double U-turn on the shop openings twice in 3 days.
The useless former army general first labelled vehicle repair shops as essential services on April 7, and then ordered them to shut down last Saturday (April 25).
The PAP minister then send another email to the shops again on Tuesday (April 28), saying they can now reopen.
Repair mechanics and businesses slammed Minister Chan Chun Sing for his indecisive and confusing orders, saying they are now embarrassed in front of their customers.
When contacted by the media, Minister Chan Chun Sing refused to comment on his double U-turns or admit his mistakes.
