Singapore’s food authority Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) issued a warning on pork luncheon meat canned food imported to Singapore from China.
Retailers and importers have been told to recall the products, while Singapore consumers who have purchased the product are told to throw the food away.
AVA issued the warning because a fragment of a hypodermic needle was found in one of the cans. Hypodermic needles are used for injecting or extracting liquid sample from a body, and is often abused by drug users.
