One of the key bullies and oppressors of the Palestinians, Benjamin Netanyahu, has arrived in Singapore for a visit today (Feb 20). The Israel Prime Minister will be on a two-day stop in Singapore, hosted by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, before flying to Australia.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has staunchly opposed to allowing the Palestinians to achieve independence despite the United Nations passing a resolution acknowledging the legitimacy of a Palestinian state. Palestinians suffer extreme discrimination and racism under the Israelis government because of the regime’s conservative mindset which they claimed are guided by religious principles. The Israelis Prime Minister and his officials are likely to face war crimes after his premiership term ended.

Following the United States, the Singapore government is sitting on the fence and refusing to support or criticise Israel’s policy on the Palestinians. Singapore’s military army was built with Israel’s assistance in 1967, and the two countries often draw reference to the same siege mentality which they claimed they are “surrounded by muslim countries”.
